Vegan Double Chocolate Brownie Recipe

So I have created a DELICIOUS vegan brownie. After finding out about all my allergies & food sensitivities, I discovered that I struggled replacing some recipes. One of those being brownies as I couldn't figure out how to make it still moist without the egg.

I had been using a particular way of finding an egg replacement however, it only ever really worked in cakes especially those that had alcohol in them. So I decided to give brownies a go this weekend and they were phenomenal.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup of apple sauce

  • 1/2 olive oil

  • 1 1/2 cups of maple syrup

  • 1 tsp vanilla

  • 2 tbsp water or nut milk

  • 1tsp salt

  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips

  • 3/4 cups of GF flour

  • 2/3 cup cacao powder

Steps to take to make these delicious things:

  1. Turn your oven on 180 C or 350 F

  2. Add the apple sauce, maple syrup, vanilla, olive oil, and water to a bowel and mix well

  3. Add in GF flour, cacao powder, and salt and mix until lumps are almost gone

  4. Lastly, pour in half of the chocolate chips to mix together

  5. Take a sheet of baking paper and put into a square sized baking pan

  6. Transfer the brownie mixture into the pan

  7. Sprinkle the last remaining chocolate chips on the top

  8. Put in the oven for about 25 minutes or until a fork doesn't come out with any crumbs on it

  9. When done, pull it out of the oven and either eat it warm or wait for it cool down!
